Law and order committee meets in Rajbari, Joypurhat

Law and order committee meetings were held in Rajbari and Joypurhat districts in Saturday and Sunday..
RAJBARI: The monthly law and order committee meeting was held in the conference room of the deputy commissioner (DC) on Sunday afternoon chaired by DC Afroza Parveen.
In the meeting, emphasis was placed on making the youth aware of the dangers of drugs and further accelerating preventive activities. It has been called for further strengthening the ongoing campaign against drug abuse by identifying it as one of the main causes of social, family and human degradation. At the same time, emphasis was placed on taking necessary steps to improve the law and order situation in the district, increase public awareness and ensure road safety.
Among others, District Civil Surgeon Dr S M Masud, Zilla Parishad Administrator Md Abdus Salam, Additional Superintendent of Police Md Shahidul Islam, Deputy Director of the Department of Social Services Mohammad Abu Saleh Mohammad Ali Ahsan, President of Rajbari Press Club Kazi Abdul Quddus and District Women's Affairs Officer Md Ajmir Hossain were present.
JOYPURHAT: The meeting was held at the DC office conference room on Saturday.
State Minister for Public Administration and Food Md Abdul Bari delivered a speech as the chief guest at the meeting while DC Al Mamun Mia was in the chair.
Superintendent of Police Shahnaz Begum, Zilla Parishad Administrator and Senior Joint Convener of District BNP Masud Rana Pradhan also addressed the meeting as special guests. Heads of various government departments including BGB, RAB and Ansar attended the meeting.
State Minister Md Abdul Bari instructed all concerned to keep the law and order situation in the district normal at any cost.
