KAPTAI, RANGAMATI, Feb 1: Ahead of the 13th national parliamentary election, voter outreach and street rallies were held in Kaptai in support of Maulana Mohammad Abu Bakar Siddique, Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis (BKM) nominee for Constituency.

The campaign took place on Friday, January 30, at key locations including the KPM coal depot, silk gardens, and banana plantations.

From early morning, Maulana Siddique, accompanied by his party workers, visited households across the area, distributing leaflets and urging voters to support him. In his address at the rallies, he promised a corruption-free administration and outlined his development agenda.

"We have entered the field to change the destiny of the people of Rangamati. Our main commitments include ensuring equal access to education and healthcare for all, fully reopening KPM and KRC, creating employment for hill youth, and stopping plundering in the name of development," he said.

The events were attended by local leaders, including Kaptai Upazila Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Md. Harunur Rashid, Chandraghona Thana Amir Maulana Lokman Ahmed, and other responsible members of KPM and Segunbagan areas, along with a large number of supporters from allied organizations.

Speakers at the rallies called on voters, especially first-time young voters, to support Maulana Siddique and the 11-party alliance. They emphasized building an equitable, welfare-oriented, and corruption-free society, while promoting peace, modern development, and social harmony in the region.
