A pre-election survey by the Good Governance Forum (GGS) has highlighted voters' priorities, concerns, and political attitudes ahead of the 13th national election. The study underscores a strong demand for development, good governance, anti-corruption initiatives, and a safe voting environment.

The survey results were unveiled at a press briefing at Sena Kalyan Tower, Mohakhali, on Tuesday. Out of 127,711,895 registered voters, 90 percent said they intend to vote, while 10 percent remained undecided. Awareness of the referendum stood at 40 percent, and 20 percent of respondents believe the July National Charter will be implemented. About 50 percent expressed optimism about the country's future in post-election period.

Projected support for parties shows a dominant lead for BNP at 77 percent, translating into 220 seats. Jamaat is at 16 percent (51 seats), Jatiya Party 3 percent (5 seats), NCP 5 percent (4 seats), and independents/others 3 percent (19 seats). The survey included 10,000 voters and was conducted in multiple phases from January 1-30, 2026.

Age and location influenced priorities. Young voters focused on employment, education, and support for entrepreneurs, while older voters highlighted inflation, healthcare, social security, and infrastructure. Rural populations emphasised agriculture, education, and local development, whereas urban voters were more concerned with traffic, utilities, healthcare, and security.

Transparency and government impartiality remain key concerns. Only 48 percent of respondents trust the government to remain impartial, 12 percent disagree, and 35 percent are unsure. Among women, uncertainty rises to 41 percent.
