Chattogram Port Authority (CPA) inaugurated a modern digital platform titled 'Port Single Window' (Port Single Window-CPA SKY) at the board room of the port building on Tuesday, marking the beginning of Chattogram Port's transition towards a fully-fledged smart port and a paperless operating system.

Chief Adviser's Special Assistant for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Ministry Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb joined the ceremony virtually as the chief guest, while CPA Chairman Rear Admiral M A Moniruzzaman was present at the venue.

In his address, Taiyeb said the introduction of the system would increase the port's overall operational efficiency by three to five times, bringing transformative changes to the national economy and international trade.

Under the Port Single Window (CPA SKY), users will be able to access all services through a Single Sign-On system (AIS 2.0) using one login.

The platform also provides real-time monitoring through a digital radar and an automated vessel tracker, allowing live tracking of vessel movements.

The system will enable faster customs and port clearance, allowing importers and exporters to obtain all approvals and complete cargo clearance from a single platform without visiting multiple offices.

This will ensure transparency and accountability at every stage and contribute to improving the ease of doing business.

On the inauguration day, the system dashboard showed berth utilization at 67 percent, with 14 out of 21 berths currently operational. A total of 128 vessels are also being tracked through the platform.    "BSS
