Nine former students of Dhaka University's (DU) Fazlul Haque Muslim Hall (FH hall) have been elected as Members of Marliament in the 13th national election, with seven from Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and two from Jamaat-e-Islami.
Md Imamul Hasan, general secretary of Fazlul Haque Muslim Hall Union, shared the information through a Facebook post on Friday night (February 13).
"Nine brothers from Dhaka University's historic Fazlul Haque Muslim Hall have been elected as members of parliament in the 13th National Parliament Election 2026, seven from Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP and two from Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami", Imamul wrote.
The elected representatives, listed by constituency number, are Anindya Islam Amit (87-Jashore-03, BNP), Advocate Gazi Enamul Haque (89-Jashore-05, Jamaat), Rakibul Islam Bakul (101-Khulna-03, BNP), SK Azizul Bari (102-Khulna-04, BNP), Mohammad Izzatullah (105-Satkhira-01, Jamaat), Md Nurul Islam (110-Barguna-02, BNP), Khondkar Abu Ashfaq (174-Dhaka-01, BNP), Dr Abdul Moin Khan (200-Narsingdi-02, BNP) and ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon (260-Chandpur-01, BNP).
The representation from a single hall highlights the political influence of Fazlul Haque Muslim Hall alumni in the current parliament. Seven constituencies across different districts, including Jashore, Khulna, Satkhira, Barguna, Dhaka, Narsingdi and Chandpur, now have representatives who once lived in the same university hall.
