4 killed in clash over establishing dominance in Narail

Four people, including father and son, were killed during a clash between two rival groups in Narail's Sadar upazila early Monday morning over establishing  dominance.

The incident took place at Borokula village, according to police.

The deceased were identified as Khalil Mpllah, 60, his son Tahajjat, 38, Osi, 30, and Ferdous, 40.

Detailed identities of the victims could not be confirmed immediately, but police said all were residents of the same area.

Police said the clash erupted between the two groups of villagers over establishing supremacy in the locality. Three people died on the spot during the confrontation, another critically injured and was taken to Narail Sadar Hospital, where he succombed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

OC Mohammad Oli Mia said police have been deployed at the scene and legal proceedings are underway.
