Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Administrator Abdus Salam has warned that contractors will face consequences if they charge more than Tk 100 for collecting household waste.

At an Iftar on Friday, he said any contractor found demanding more than the fixed amount would have their PCSP licence revoked.

He noted that residents and shopkeepers must leave their refuse in designated spots for collection.

He sought cooperation from city residents to make Dhaka a clean city, saying work has already begun to transform both DSCC and DNCC into clean cities.    "bdnews24
