Biman resumes most Middle East routes amid ongoing disruptions

Bangladesh's national carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines has announced the resumption of scheduled services to most Middle Eastern destinations, though flights to three major Gulf cities remain suspended.

The airline confirmed on Sunday that operations to the majority of its Middle East network would proceed normally, while services to Doha, Dubai and Abu Dhabi continue to operate outside regular scheduling.

The public relations division issued the update without specifying reasons for the continued disruption to these three key routes.

Passengers travelling to operational destinations have been advised to arrive at airports significantly earlier than usual. Biman is requesting travellers reach terminals at least four hours before their scheduled departure time to ensure smooth completion of check-in procedures and other formalities.

The three affected cities represent major transit and destination hubs for Bangladeshi travellers and expatriate workers in the Gulf region. Dubai and Abu Dhabi serve as critical gateways in the United Arab Emirates, while Doha remains an important connection point in Qatar.

The airline has not indicated when normal services to the suspended routes might resume. Passengers holding tickets for Doha, Dubai or Abu Dhabi are encouraged to contact Biman directly for updated travel information and alternative arrangements.
