9 bogies of 'Nil Sagar' derail in Bogura, rail link with north halted

Nine bogies of 'Nil Sagar Express' derailed in Santahar of Bogura, triggering panic among passengers and local residents.

The accident has raised fears of casualties, although officials have yet to confirm the exact number of injured or dead.

Following the derailment, rail communication of Dhaka with the northern regions of the country has been temporarily suspended, causing significant disruption to Eid travel schedule.
