The Energy and Mineral Resources Division has issued a formal statement urging citizens to refrain from panic buying and excessive fuel purchases, confirming that stock levels and supply chains remain completely normal across the country.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Saturday, the government continues procuring necessary fuel from international markets to ensure uninterrupted supply aligned with national demand, eliminating any possibility of shortages.

The statement emphasized the hazardous nature of petrol, octane, and diesel, warning that private storage of these highly flammable substances poses significant safety risks to households and communities.

Authorities announced strict enforcement measures against individuals and entities engaged in illegal fuel hoarding for profit-seeking purposes. Mobile courts led by executive magistrates have been deployed across all districts to detect and prevent unauthorized stockpiling activities.

The government reiterated that fuel prices have not been increased, urging the public not to succumb to misinformation or rumors that might trigger unnecessary purchasing behavior.
