HC Justice Rezaul Hasan resigns amid graft claims

High Court Division Justice Md Rezaul Hasan has resigned after a Supreme Judicial Council found initial evidence of corruption against him.

He tendered his resignation to the chief justice on Tuesday, and it was then sent to the president in accordance with protocol.

Md Shafiqul Islam, a spokesman for the Supreme Court, confirmed the development. The Supreme Judicial Council launched investigations against several justices following the July Uprising. Rezaul was one of them.    �"bdnews24
