Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Chairman Khondoker Rashed Maqsood said that the commission is working tirelessly to develop the capital market.
He said that a major part of the legal reform of the capital market has been completed through these three rules - Margin Rules, 2025; Mutual Fund Rules, 2025 and Public Offer of Equity Securities Rules, 2025. Rules related to corporate governance will also be made soon.
Rashed Maqsood said this at the sixth monthly coordination meeting of capital market stakeholders with the capital market regulator Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission at the BSEC's Multipurpose Hall in Agargaon in the capital on Sunday.
He said that the commission is working with the highest priority to directly list the country's large public interest companies in the capital market and in this regard, the government and market stakeholders need to play a supportive role.
