Bangladesh Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman returned home on Friday after completing an official visit to the United States, according to a statement from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
During the visit, the army chief took part in a series of engagements in the state of Georgia and held meetings with key officials.
In recognition of the contributions of Bangladeshi peacekeepers to United Nations missions, the state of Georgia honoured him with a special resolution.
The visit also featured bilateral discussions with relevant stakeholders on issues of mutual interest between Bangladesh and the United States, added the ISPR.
