BNP team holds meetings with top Chinese leaders

A high-level delegation of ruling BNP, led by party Secretary General and LGRD Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, held two important bilateral meetings with top leaders of the People's Republic of China on Tuesday, aiming to strengthen relations and expand cooperation between the two countries.

The delegation held two separate bilateral meetings during the visit. It met Chinese Vice President Han Zheng at the Great Hall of the People and Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China, at the IDCPC Building.

During the meetings, both sides held productive discussions on Bangladesh-China relations. They discussed various areas of cooperation and agreed to strengthen collaboration in sectors of shared interest.

They noted that the friendly relationship between Bangladesh and China began during the tenure of Ziaur Rahman and was later strengthened under former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.
