Finance Minister unveiling budget for FY2026-27

Finance Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury is presenting the national budget for fiscal year 2026-27 before the nation.

The total outlay of the budget is likely to be set at Tk9.38 lakh crore, the largest national budget in the country's history.

A few minutes before 3PM, the Finance Minister entered the Parliament chamber carrying a black briefcase contained the budget documents and the Finance Bill of the BNP-led government alongside Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
