United Tourism Stakeholders Society of Bangladesh (UTSSOB), a research organisation, has been formed to promote the country's tourism sector.
It held its first executive committee meeting on Tuesday at a hotel in Dhaka. Chaired by leading tourism icon H.M. Hakim Ali, the meeting was attended by Vice President M Mofizur Rahman and Toufiq Rahman, Secretary General Rezaul Ekram, Joint Secretary Khadija Akhter, Directors Kamrul Hasan, Mohammad Jalal Uddin, Javed Ahmed, Syed Ahmed Ali, Mehdi Amin Chowdhury, and Mohammad Mahtab Hossain.
Journalist Syed Ishtiaq Reza and Pranab Saha, Advisory Council members, were present, according to press release.
