Pakistan's national cricket team has arrived in Dhaka to play a two-match Test series against Bangladesh as part of the ICC World Test Championship.

The team landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport early Sunday, with skipper Shan Masood leading a large squad contingent.

Upon arrival, the team was escorted to their hotel under tight security. The Bangladesh Cricket Board has arranged multi-layered security in coordination with police and other law enforcement agencies for the visiting side.

Star batter Babar Azam and pacer Khurram Shahzad have not yet joined the squad as they are currently involved in the Pakistan Super League final.

The first Test will begin on May 8 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, while the second and final Test is scheduled for May 16 in Sylhet.
