Cotton Connect Ltd CEO pays courtesy call on DU VC

Alison Word, CEO of Cotton Connect Limited, a UK-based social enterprise paid a courtesy call on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr ABM Obaidul Islam on Tuesday (May 05) at the latter’s office of the university. 

She was accompanied by Dr Md Farid Uddin, Advisor of Cotton Connect Limited and some other officials from the same organization. 

Chairman of the Department of Soil, Water and Environment of DU Prof Dr ASM Mohiuddin and Prof Dr Md Jashim Uddin were present on this occasion.

During the meeting they discussed various issues including development of research activities at Dhaka University. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr ABM Obaidul Islam stressed the need for expansion of joint collaborative academic and research programs among Dhaka University and renowned institutions across the world to enhance the quality of higher education and research. 

Later, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between DU Soil, Water and Environment Department and Cotton Connect Limited was signed for the development of research at Dhaka University. 

Chairman of the Department of Soil, Water and Environment of DU Prof Dr ASM Mohiuddin and CEO of Cotton Connect Limited Alison Word signed the MoU on behalf of their respective side.
