CU holds orientation on 'Outcome Based Edn'

CHATTOGRAM, MAY 6: A orientation seminar on the implementation of 'Outcome Based Education' (OBE) curriculum was held at Chittagong University (CU) with the aim of improving and modernizing the academic quality of the university.

CU Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organised the orientation seminar at the auditorium of the Faculty of Marine Sciences and Fisheries on Wednesday.

CU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Mohammad Al-Forkan addressed the seminar as the chief guest with IQAC Director Professor Dr. Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain in the chair.

CU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof Dr. Mohammad Shamim Uddin Khan and Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin were present as special guests at the programme.

CU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Mohammad Al-Forkan said, We are very happy that our university has already started teaching in the OBE curriculum. With the sincere cooperation of all of you, we hope that the OBE curriculum will be successfully implemented in CU. You will learn for yourself in the workshop and later inform your colleagues about this.

Teachers from various departments of the faculties of Arts and Humanities, Business Administration, Sociology, Law and Education, who are involved in the management of the first semester undergraduate course of the 2025-26 academic year, participated in the seminar.

The programme sheds light in detail on the responsibilities and duties of course teachers, teaching-learning and evaluation methods for the successful implementation of the OBE curriculum.
