
PIROJPUR, May 7: Pirojpur Zilla Parishad (ZP) Administrator and Central NBP Member Principal Alamgir Hossain said, "BNP believes in non-discriminatory development and works for all religions, genders and sections partisan and non-partisan."
He made the remarks at a views-sharing meeting with journalists organised by Pirojpur Zilla Parishad in his office conference room on Thursday noon.
He said, "We had a discussion with the Prime Minister Tarique Rahman about least developed district Pirojpur to be mainstreaming. Suspended works of LGED need to start again, corrupt people must come under punishment but pro-people development works can't be stopped. Poor road communication networks need to be developed and railway communication be extended up to Patharghata from Gopalganj. Fishery Diploma Institute, Horticulture Institute and Pirojpur Science and Technology University are most important for enhancing educational status of the district and job creation."
He also said, Zilla Parishad have limited fund to allocate instantly to address social issues, like anti-drug campaign, sports and culture and well-being of children.
