Abahani stay in title race with win over PWD

Abahani Limited Dhaka kept their title hopes alive in the Bangladesh Football League with a comfortable 2-0 victory over PWD Sports Club at Shaheed Barkat Stadium on Friday.

Malian forward Souleymane Diabate broke the deadlock for Abahani in the 45th minute.

After the break, Syed Shah Quazem Kirmine doubled the advantage in the 82nd minute to seal the victory for Abahani.

With the win, Abahani, sitting second position in the league table, secured 34 points from 16 matches, one points less than table topper Bashundhara Kings, who have also collected 35 points from the same number of games.    "BSS
