Man held with liquor in Ctg

Police arrested a man along with illegal liquor from Chattogram’s Kotwali police station area on Sunday night.

The arrested was identified as Jahidul Islam, 29, a resident of ward no 8 under Sandwip municipality.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of policemen conducted a raid on a shop at Bengali Sevak Colony on Bundle Road, recovered 100 litres of locally made brewd liquor and arrested him.

Kotwali Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Md Aftab Uddin confirmed the detention and said that a case has been filed under the Narcotics Control Act.
