96 more deprived candidates from 27th BCS appointed

The government has appointed 96 more previously deprived candidates from the 27th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination to various BCS cadres.

Following the recommendation of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission, the Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification regarding the appointments on Wednesday.

The newly appointed candidates have been requested to join the designated offices of their respective cadre-controlling ministries or divisions by May 18. If no further instructions are issued by the concerned ministries or divisions, they are to assume duty on that date. 

The notification states that failure to join within the stipulated time will be considered as unwillingness to accept the appointment and the appointment will consequently be cancelled.

In order to preserve the seniority of the appointees, their appointments will be considered effective retrospectively from the date on which the first appointment notification for their batch was originally issued. Their notional seniority will be maintained from the joining date mentioned in the original batch appointment notification, it added.
