People travelling home comfortably at fixed fares: Minister

After visiting Sayedabad Bus Terminal, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Sheikh Rabiul Alam said that public transport operators are charging government-fixed fares, allowing passengers to travel home comfortably.

"Public transport is charging the fixed fare, and people are returning home comfortably at those rates, he said while speaking to reporters on Tuesday."

The Minister acknowledged that there are some limitations due to the shortage of vehicles compared to the number of passengers.

Rabiul Alam also mentioned that many passengers tend to board moving vehicles, which increases safety risks.

"Passengers often have a habit of trying to get onto running vehicles. If any passenger becomes aware and files a complaint, we are taking action accordingly."
