President to host Eid reception at Bangabhaban

President Mohammed Shahabuddin and First Lady Dr. Rebeka Sultana will host a reception at Bangabhaban on Thursday to mark Eid-ul-Azha.

The event will welcome high-ranking government officials, diplomats and prominent members of society.
 
"The reception is scheduled from 10:30am to 12:00pm tomorrow. The Head of State will exchange festive greetings with people from all walks of life at the Durbar Hall of Bangabhaban," President’s Press Secretary Md. Sarwar Alam told BSS today. 
 
He added that the President will also extend his Eid greetings to the nation and the global Muslim Ummah through the media.
 
Several hundred distinguished guests and their spouses have been invited to the presidential reception.
 
The guest list features a wide array of dignitaries, including the Chief Justice, former presidents, cabinet ministers, state ministers, advisers to the Prime Minister, foreign diplomats, Supreme Court judges and university vice-chancellors.
 
The gathering will also include senior politicians, business leaders, high-ranking civil and military officials, editors, journalists, writers, poets, academics, intellectuals and artists.
 
Guests will be treated to traditional festive delicacies during the reception. 
 
Following the official ceremony, the President will spend the rest of the day celebrating with his family at Bangabhaban.
