Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has extended his heartfelt greetings and "Eid Mubarak" to the citizens of Bangladesh and the global Muslim community on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha.

In a formal message released on Wednesday, May 27, the Prime Minister highlighted the spiritual significance of the festival.

In his address, the Prime Minister described Eid-ul-Adha as a time of supreme sacrifice and a sublime guide to attaining "Taqwa" (God-consciousness). "I convey my warmest Eid greetings to the people of my country and Muslims worldwide. May this occasion bring a message of self-purification to all," he stated.

Reflecting on the historical and religious roots of the day, the Prime Minister noted that the festival transcends mere celebration. He remarked that the occasion honors the unwavering faith and unconditional obedience of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), serving as an eternal example of devotion for the Muslim Ummah.

Concluding his message, the Prime Minister offered prayers for the peace, security, and stability of the motherland and the entire human race. "I pray to Almighty Allah to accept our sacrifices and fill our lives with peace and prosperity. May the spirit of sacrifice illuminate our hearts," he added.
