After concluding his visit to Malaysia, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman arrived in Dalian city in China, on Monday 9:30pm China local time, 7:30pm Bangladesh Standard Time.
Upon his arrival at Dalian International Airport, he was welcomed by Bei Yang, Vice Governor of China's Liaoning Province, Yao Wen, China's Ambassador to Bangladesh, and Md. Nazmul Islam, Bangladesh's Ambassador to China.
From the airport, the Bangladesh PM was taken to his hotel residence through an official motorcade.
Tarique Rahman is expected to have a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping at Great Hall of People on June 26, 2026.
According to the schedule, on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, Tarique Rahman is expected to hold a meeting with the President and Chief Executive Officer of the World Economic Forum.
The meeting may discuss the global economy, investment, climate change, and development cooperation.
On the same day in the afternoon, the PM will deliver a speech as the keynote speaker at a session titled “Climate Leadership in Shifting Global Landscape” at the World Economic Forum conference. In addition, he is scheduled to participate in several other important sessions and high-level programs of the conference.
In the evening, PM Tarique Rahman will attend a banquet hosted by his Chinese counterpart Li Qiang. Heads of state and government, policymakers, and representatives of international organizations from various countries will participate in the event.
Meanwhile, on the morning of June 24, 2026, PM Tarique is scheduled to participate in a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan. The meeting may discuss various issues related to trade, investment, and regional cooperation between the two countries.
Later the same day, after participating in several more programs, the PM will leave Dalian for Beijing by train in the afternoon. During the next phase of his China visit, he is scheduled to take part in a number of high-level meetings and diplomatic engagements in Beijing.
