BD expat killed in Saudi road mishap

GOURIPUR, MYMENSINGH, June 2: An expatriate Bangladeshi was killed in a road accident in Saudi Arabia on Monday morning, Bangladesh time.

The deceased Faruk Islam, 45, hailed from Gujikha Village in Ramgopalpur Union in Gouripur Upazila of Mymensingh. He wa the son of Abdul Majid Bepari of that village.

Family sources said that Faruk had been staying in Saudi Arabia for 10 years. He had also taken several people from the area, including his eldest son and two nephews, to Saudi Arabia.

Faruk's neighbour, uncle Abdur Razzak, said that Farooq was a very humble and charitable person. 

The relatives said that Faruk's body is currently kept in a hospital morgue in Saudi Arabia. They have sought the cooperation of the relevant government department to complete the legal process and bring the body back to the country as soon as possible.
