Veteran wicketkeeper-batter Mushfiqur Rahim became the first Bangladeshi cricketer to complete 12,000 runs in List A cricket as he smashed a whirlwind century in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) on Friday.

Mushfiqur reached the landmark during Mohammedan Sporting Club's match against Gazi Group Cricketers at BKSP-2, which went to reserve day after the rain interrupted the game.

However, thanks to the batter's record-breaking century, Mohammedan secured 47 runs victory over Gazi Group today on DLS method.

The experienced batter blasted a 55-ball 100, hitting eight fours and six sixes, before being dismissed exactly on the century mark. The innings also marked the 16th List A century of his career.    "BSS
