Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon on Tuesday said that the news is completely baseless about the exclusion of Bangla, History and Philosophy from the graduation course.

The minister said this while replying to a question from reporters after a meeting at the Secretariat on Tuesday (June 9).

According to reports, the minister acknowledged concerns raised by educators and intellectuals over the potential closure of programmes that are considered fundamental to Bangladesh's language, culture and intellectual heritage.

He emphasized that subjects such as Bangla, History and Philosophy play a crucial role in shaping national identity and preserving the country's historical and cultural consciousness
