Mercantile Bank PLC has recently received a certificate from Bangladesh Bank (BB) in recognition of its significant contribution to inclusive finance and enterprise development.
The award was presented under the "Supporting Post-COVID-19 Small-Scale Employment Creation Project (SPSSECP)", implemented by Bangladesh Bank with financial support from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), says a press release.
Through its participation in the project, Mercantile Bank has played a notable role in generating new employment opportunities across the country.
At the certificate awarding ceremony, Shamim Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director and CAMLCO of Mercantile Bank, received the certificate from Nurun Nahar, Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank; Manoj Kumar Howlader, Executive Director and Project Director; Kazi Tamanna Hoque, Director; and Ali Sabed, Team Leader. Other senior officials from the Ministry of Finance, Bangladesh Bank, and Mercantile Bank were also present at the event.
