
The Closing Ceremony of the month-long Entrepreneurship Development Training Program, organized under the “Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP)” implemented by the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance with funding from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), was recently held in Ashulia.
The programme was organized by United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB) with the support of Bangladesh Bank, says a press release.
Mohammad Wasim, Joint Director (SMESPD) Bangladesh Bank and Deputy Programme Director (DPD), SICIP attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest. The event was attended as a special guest by Md Ridwanul Hoque, Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Distributions and Strategy of UCB, along with other senior officials of the bank.
The event was presided over by Mohammad Salim Chowdhury, Head of SME and Agri Banking Division of UCB.
A total of 25 aspiring entrepreneurs successfully completed this month-long training programme. It is expected that the knowledge and skills they have acquired will help them establish and expand their businesses, contributing to the growth of Bangladesh’s SME sector.
