Gas supply will be temporarily suspended in six areas of Narayanganj for six hours on Friday to allow the relocation of an existing gas pipeline, according to a notice issued by Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited on Thursday.

The state-owned utility said the work will take place near Bridge No. 7 in the Pagla Railway Station area as part of an ongoing railway infrastructure development project being carried out by Bangladesh Railway.

As a result, all categories of consumers in Fatullah, Enayetnagar, Kashipur, Muktarpur, Munshiganj and Siddhirganj will remain without gas from 2pm to 8pm.

Titas Gas also warned that customers in nearby areas may experience low gas pressure during the maintenance period.

The company apologised for the temporary inconvenience and requested consumers’ cooperation while the work is being completed.
