
Rupali Bank PLC organized its Innovation Showcase 2025-26 and selected the Best Innovative Initiative as part of the implementation of its e-Governance and Innovation Action Plan 2025-26.
The event was held on Thursday at the conference room of the bank’s head office, says a press release.
Farida Yasmin, Joint Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division under the Ministry of Finance and Chief Innovation Officer, attended the programme as the chief guest.
In her speech, she emphasized the need to gradually digitalize all services provided by government institutions in Bangladesh.
The programme was chaired by Kazi Md. Wahidul Islam, Managing Director of Rupali Bank PLC. In his remarks, he said that as a service-oriented institution, the bank is committed to ensuring better customer service through service excellence, the generation of innovative ideas, and their effective implementation.
Among others present were Deputy Managing Directors Tahmina Akhtar, Hasan Tanvir and Md. Harunur Rashid; General Managers Md. Noman Mia and Salamun Nessa; Chief Information Technology Officer Md. Ahidul Islam Sarkar; and other senior officials of the bank.
During the event, various departments of the bank showcased innovative ideas and digital service initiatives. Based on predefined evaluation criteria, the bank’s mobile financial service, “RupaliCash,” was selected as the Best Innovative Initiative.
Participants expressed optimism that the initiative would open new avenues for improving service quality, expanding technology-driven operations, and fostering a culture of innovation within the bank.
