Gas supply will remain suspended in several areas of Narayanganj District for 24 hours due to pipeline relocation work under the South Asia Subregional Economic Cooperation (SASEC) project.

According to a notice issued by Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited on Saturday, the gas supply will remain completely suspended in Bhulta, Gawsia, Murapara, Araihazar and Kanchan areas from 9am on Sunday to 9am on Monday.

The pipeline relocation work will be carried out at Golakandail intersection in Rupganj as part of the Dhaka-Sylhet highway upgrading project under the SASEC programme.

Titas Gas said all categories of consumers in the affected areas will remain without gas during the 24-hour period.

It also warned that customers in adjoining areas may experience low gas pressure or temporary supply disruptions during the maintenance work.

The gas utility apologised for the temporary inconvenience caused to consumers.
