Dear Sir,
Every fiscal year is not only the beginning of a new chapter in the government’s revenue and expenditure planning but also a reminder of every citizen’s civic responsibility. With the start of new fiscal year, we should pay our taxes, duties, and fees on time and renew all required licenses.
Many people still view taxes as a burden. In reality, they are an investment in national development. The revenue collected from taxpayers funds roads, bridges, hospitals, schools, public infrastructure, and other essential services. Paying taxes is therefore not merely a legal obligation but also a moral duty and a mark of responsible citizenship.
Special attention should be given to paying Land Development Tax, renewing trade licenses, submitting income tax returns, paying holding taxes, and updating VAT registration, environmental clearance, fire licenses, vehicle tax tokens, and fitness certificates where applicable.
Developed countries have strong tax compliance because citizens understand their responsibilities. Bangladesh can achieve greater progress by fostering the same culture. Let us fulfil our civic duties, comply with the law, and contribute to building a prosperous Bangladesh.
