Gold prices have increased in the local market after two consecutive reductions, with the price of 22-carat gold rising by Tk 2,217 per bhori (11.664 grams).
According to a statement issued by the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) on Friday, the new price of 22-carat gold has been set at Tk 224,182 per bhori, including VAT.
The price of 21-carat gold has been fixed at Tk 214,092 per bhori, while 18-carat gold will cost Tk 183,882 per bhori. Traditional-method gold has been priced at Tk 150,232 per bhori.
BAJUS said the latest adjustment was made following an increase in the price of pure gold in the local market.
On Thursday, the association had reduced the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 3,325 per bhori.
