Seven more deaths linked to measles and measles-like symptoms were reported across Bangladesh in the past 24 hours, raising the total death toll this year to 766, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the latest fatalities, one person died of confirmed measles in Dhaka, while six others died with measles symptoms�"four in Dhaka and two in Sylhet, the DGHS said in a statement issued on Tuesday. The figures were updated as of 8:00 am. So far this year, 95 people have died from laboratory-confirmed measles, while 671 others have died after developing measles-like symptoms.
