HSC students: Education Minister will not be allowed in Naogaon

General students in Naogaon staged a human chain on the street to demand the resignation of the Education Minister and put forward a three-point charter of demands.

The hour-long program was organized by the "HSC 2026 Batch" students in front of the District Education Office at 12:30 PM on Tuesday (July 14).

The students demanded that exams to remain suspended until the disaster situation fully subsides. They also called for ensuring re-exam opportunities for students who could not participate due to the adverse weather conditions.

The protesters warned of launching a larger movement if their demands are not met.

The students issued a stern warning that they would prevent Education Minister Dr. A.N.M. Ehsanul Haque Milan from entering Naogaon on July 18. The Minister is scheduled to attend the inaugural ceremony of academic activities at Naogaon University as the chief guest on that day.

HSC 2026 batch students Marshia Rahman, Naim Ahmed, and Rahim Hossain, along with first-year honors student Rajon and eleventh-grader Sadman, spoke at the human chain.
