Urmi Group Wins Two Categories at the SDG Brand Champion Award 2026

Urmi Group has emerged as a winner in two categories at the SDG Brand Champion Award 2026, in recognition of its commitment to sustainable development, responsible business practices, and fostering an inclusive workplace culture.

The company received the SDG Brand Champion - Women Empowerment award for its initiative, ‘Empowered at Work, Stronger at Home: The Urmi Woman.’ The recognition highlights Urmi Group's continuous efforts to promote women's participation in the workforce, leadership development, safe working environments, and economic empowerment.

Urmi Group was also named the SDG Brand Champion - Most Sustainable RMG/Garment of the Year, recognizing its outstanding contribution to environmentally responsible manufacturing, responsible business operations, efficient resource utilization, and long-term sustainability within Bangladesh's ready-made garment industry.

Organized by Bangladesh Brand Forum and the Sustainable Brand Initiative, the SDG Brand Champion Award recognizes organizations that demonstrate outstanding leadership in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through responsible business practices, social impact, and environmental excellence.

With this double recognition, Urmi Group has further strengthened its position as one of Bangladesh's leading apparel manufacturers, setting new benchmarks in sustainable manufacturing, women's empowerment, and responsible business leadership.
