Jamaat expels Satkhira-4 MP Gazi Nazrul

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has expelled Gazi Nazrul Islam, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Satkhira-4 constituency, on charges of moral turpitude.

The decision was made during an emergency meeting of the party's central executive council on Wednesday (July 22).

Jamaat-e-Islami also decided to formally inform the Election Commission (EC) of his expulsion from the party without delay.
