Tertiary-level healthcare services will soon be introduced at five hospitals under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, Health Minister Sardar Md. Sakhawat Hossain has said.
The initiative will initially begin as a pilot project in Dhaka, with agreements nearing completion.
The minister made the announcement at an event marking Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Day in Bogura on Thursday (November 5).
He also announced plans to establish 20 new ICUs and recruit 5,000 doctors to address staff shortages across the country.
