HAAB announces 3 pvt Hajj packages for 2027 

The Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) on Wednesday announced three private Hajj packages for the 2027 pilgrimage, with the lowest-cost economy package fixed at Tk 513,545 while the highest-priced premium package at Tk 791,060.

Besides, the private agencies will be able to announce another high-cost premium package for the pilgrims intending to get luxury services, HAAB Secretary General Farid Ahmed Mazumder told media while during announcement of the Hajj packages at a city hotel in Nayapaltan, Dhaka.

Lowest cost set at Tk 5,13,545

Under the announced packages, Package-1 (Special/Premium) would be Tk 791,060 while Package-2 (General) Tk 595,580 and Package-3 (Economy) Tk 513,545.

Speaking at the briefing, Syed Golam Sarwar said private Hajj agencies would also be allowed to offer one additional premium package tailored to pilgrims' preferences and service requirements.

He said the package prices had been calculated based on an exchange rate of Tk 33.20 per Saudi riyal. If the exchange rate changes before the Hajj season, the package prices will be adjusted accordingly.

According to the HAAB president, the packages were prepared after taking into account accommodation, transportation, meals, airfare and other essential services to ensure pilgrims receive standard facilities throughout their stay in Saudi Arabia.

He added that the government-approved general Hajj package will remain mandatory as the minimum service standard for private pilgrims. However, agencies operating under group arrangements will be permitted to introduce up to three additional packages in coordination with one another to meet different service demands.

Sarwar also stressed that no private agency would be allowed to offer any package providing services below the standard specified in the government's approved general package.

Compared with the previous year's private Hajj packages, the cost has increased across all categories. In 2026, the special package was priced at Tk 750,000, the general package at Tk 550,000, and the economy package at Tk 510,000.
