The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has thwarted two separate attempts by India's Border Security Force (BSF) to push in a total of 13 people into Bangladesh through the Feni and Jhenaidah border areas.

In the early hours of Saturday, a patrol from the BSF's 43 Rajnagar Camp attempted to force seven people"six women and one boy"into Bangladesh near Border Pillar 2145 under the jurisdiction of the Shreepur Border Outpost (BOP) of Feni Battalion (4 BGB) at the Durgapur border in Parshuram upazila.

BGB patrol members swiftly reached the spot, took up strategic positions, and prevented the group from entering Bangladesh.

Local resident Abdur Rahman said BGB responded immediately after receiving information about the attempted push-in, forcing the group to return to Indian Territory.

In a separate incident early the same day, members of the BSF's 59 Battalion from the Singamora Camp attempted to push four men and two women into Bangladesh through a gate adjacent to Border Pillar 55/MP at the Samanta Pakrail border in Maheshpur upazila of Jhenaidah.

A patrol team from the Samanta BOP quickly arrived at the scene and blocked their entry. The six individuals are currently staying about 20 yards inside Indian Territory from the zero line, while BGB personnel remain deployed under heightened vigilance.
