US special envoy Sergio Gor in Dhaka

Sergio Gor, US President Donald Trump’s Special Envoy for South and Central Asian Affairs, has arrived in Dhaka on a three-day official visit. 

The information was shared in a post on the verified Facebook page of the US Embassy in Dhaka on Thursday afternoon.

Quoting US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent T. Christensen, the post stated: "I am pleased to welcome my friend, Ambassador Sergio Gor, US Special Envoy for South and Central Asian Affairs, to Bangladesh. His visit will further strengthen the US-Bangladesh strategic partnership, regional security, and economic cooperation."
