NCP top leaders' motorcade attacked twice in Sylhet

NCP motorcade has been attacked twice in Golapganj, Sylhet.

After Habiganj, allegations have surfaced for more attacks on the National Citizen Party (NCP) motorcade in Sylhet.

Reserved seat MP Dr. Mahmuda Alam Mitu confirmed that several top leaders of the party were inside the vehicle during the attack.

The incident occurred at around 2:30PM on Thursday, July 30 on the road in front of the municipality gate at Choumuhani in Golapganj upazila.

In a post on her verified Facebook page on Thursday afternoon, central NCP leader and reserved seat MP Mahmuda Alam Mitu wrote that terrorists launched another severe attack in Golapganj while they were returning from a program with families of martyrs.

She stated that Sarjis Alam, she, and several others were in the vehicle. She claimed the attackers were trying to kill them and had shattered the rear and right-side windows of their car.

She further alleged that the police stood by indifferently. 

Meanwhile, at 2:42PM, Sarjis Alam, Chief Organizer (Northern Region) of the NCP, wrote in a Facebook post that terrorists had once again carried out a bloody attack on their vehicle in Golapganj, Sylhet, and vandalized it.
