Former Gazipur MP Akhtaruzzaman arrested in Gulshan

The Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police has arrested Akhtaruzzaman, former Member of Parliament for Gazipur-5 constituency, from the capital's Gulshan area.

He was arrested during a raid at a residence in Gulshan at around 10:00PM on Wednesday (August 5).

According to DMP DB sources, Akhtaruzzaman faces multiple charges, including murder cases. He is also accused of involvement in the activities of a banned organization.
