Two more children died of measles and related symptoms in the country over the last 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 999.

A news release from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) control room confirmed the information on Tuesday (8 September). During this period, health authorities detected 1,236 new cases across the country.

According to DGHS data, 999 children have died from measles and associated symptoms since March 15 this year. The total deaths include 100 confirmed measles cases and 899 cases with measles symptoms.
