The leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami-led 11-party alliance have announced a series of nationwide long marches and a grand rally, demanding the implementation of what they described as the 'verdict of the referendum' and pressing for action on several national issues.

The alliance said the programmes aim to build a broader mass movement to demand the immediate trial of those responsible for genocide, ensure justice for all incidents of mass killings, improve the law and order situation, end what it termed narrow partisan practices, curb rising commodity prices, and resolve the ongoing electricity, fuel and gas shortages.

The announced programmes are:

Sept. 5, 2026 (Saturday): Long march by road from Dhaka to Chattogram

Sept. 19, 2026 (Saturday): Long march by road from Dhaka to Rangpur

Oct. 10, 2026 (Saturday): Long march by road from Dhaka to Khulna

Oct. 24, 2026 (Saturday): Long march by rail from Dhaka to Sylhet

Nov. 14, 2026 (Saturday): Grand rally in Dhaka.

The alliance leaders called on people from all walks of life to actively participate in and support the programmes, saying public involvement is essential to establish the people's legitimate rights and safeguard the interests of the country and its citizens.
