Observer Online Report

Five individuals have been arrested in connection with the question paper leak incident surrounding the recruitment examination for the position of Assistant Upazila Youth Development Officer under the Department of Youth Development.

The Special Response Battalion (SRB-3) apprehended the suspects during drive operations conducted across various areas of the capital.

An SRB source confirmed the arrests on Thursday (October 15), though the identities of the five individuals have not yet been disclosed.

SRB officials stated that raids are ongoing to identify and arrest the financiers and key perpetrators involved in the question leak racket.

Following allegations of the question paper leak last Saturday, job candidates staged protests and blocked key thoroughfares across Dhaka. In response, the Ministry of Youth and Sports formed a five-member investigation committee headed by an Additional Secretary to probe the incident. The committee has yet to submit its official inquiry report.
